ArborCarbon is an environmental consultancy specialising in sustainable vegetation management, innovative remote sensing technologies and precision vegetation monitoring. Combining innovative remote sensing technologies with decades of environmental field experience to provide our clients with effective solutions by bridging the gap between research and industry.

Our company history

Founded in Perth Western Australia in 2010 by A/Prof. Paul Barber and Prof. Giles Hardy with the aim of bridging the gap between science and sustainable management of vegetation. In 2015 Dirk Mitchell joined as a Director to focus on commercial strategies and building the business administration capabilities.

Since its inception in the aftermath of the global financial crisis ArborCarbon has increased its annual revenue each year even through a mining downturn. Nearly all profits have been reinvested back into the company to undertake R&D and to meet the core value of Innovation.

Although ArborCarbon is a small company our footprint is global with the establishment of a Hong Kong office and entity (ArborCarbon Hong Kong Limited) in 2017 and a shareholding in a UK based start-up (ArborFlight Ltd) 2016.
